Custom Fields

Define your own fields per channel, with placement and type-scoping options, so each channel shapes its own data.

Beyond the built-in fields, you define your own per channel — Settings → Types & Stages → Custom fields (Projects, Assets, Clients, Deals). Each field has a label and a type (text, number, date, select, checkbox, link), plus two choices:

  • Placement — Meta panel (compact, in the record’s meta card) or Standard panel (a "Custom fields" section beneath Details). Toggle per field.
  • Applies to — all records of that channel, or only one type (e.g. only Website assets). The management list groups fields by the type they apply to.

Fields are inline-editable on the record by type (click to edit text/number/date, pick a select option, tick a checkbox, open a link), and a record only shows fields that match its type. This is how each channel shapes its own data — e.g. a Website asset carries URL/DNS/hosting on its meta, a Licence carries seats — without those being hardcoded.
